Friday, February 5, 2016
Kristana Textor is a second-year doctoral student in teaching and curriculum. Born in 1976, Textor calls herself “a former arcade rat,” with a lifelong love of games, her personal favorites ranging from the mesmerizing puzzle game Tetris to the first-person shooter blockbuster Call of Duty: Black Ops. Her talk will demonstrate her perspective on video games as cultural products useful in teaching students to examine media and storytelling critically.
